COVID-19 Information

Dear clients and fans,

I do hope you and your beloved are safe and well !

After much thought and valuation I regret to inform you that the unique and  unprecedented circumstances caused by Codiv-19  have lead us to keep the Hotel closed to guests till Spring 2021. At this moment, we doubt to be profitable to open even for the Carnival of Venice 2021 which is due to occur from January 30th till February 16th.

All reservations made thru the Hotel Official website with overnight from September 1st 2020 and March 31st 2021 shall be cancelled and the cancellation handled by the Hotel. Your reservation is going to be cancelled by us with no charges at all. You will receive a cancellation mail. If you had a Room reservation with a deposit already charged, we may choose to ask for a full refund thru the same credit card used or have a Future Stay Voucher for the same credit to be redeemed thru our Official Website.

For all reservations made thru third parties ( OnlineTravelAgency (Expedia Group.,  Booking.com, etc), Wholesalers , etc) , with overnight from September 1st 2020 and March 31st 2021 ,  you need to get in contact with the Customer Service of the Company you booked with to handle your reservation. On our behalf, we have informed all our commercial partner about our choice to keep the Hotel closed and cancel the room reservation.

We do apologize  for any inconvenience our choice might have caused to your trip plans.

Gentili Clienti e Amici,

Spero che voi ed i vostri cari stiate bene!

Dopo molte riflessioni e valutazioni mi dispiace informarvi che le circostanze uniche ed inedite causate dal Codiv-19 ci hanno indotto alla triste decisione di  mantenere l' albergo chiuso  fino alla Primavera del 2021. In questo momento, dubitiamo che sia vantaggioso aprire anche per il Carnevale di Venezia 2021 che si terrà dal 30 Gennaio al 16 Febbraio.

Tutte le prenotazioni effettuate tramite il sito web ufficiale dell'hotel con pernottamento dal 1 settembre 2020 al 31 marzo 2021 saranno annullate e la cancellazione sarà gestita dall' Hotel stesso. La vostra prenotazione verrà cancellata da noi senza alcun addebito. Riceverete una mail di cancellazione. Se avevate una prenotazione della camera con un deposito già addebitato, potrete scegliere di chiedere un rimborso completo tramite la stessa carta di credito utilizzata o avere un voucher per un soggiorno futuro per lo stesso credito da riscattare tramite il nostro sito internet ufficiale.

Per tutte le prenotazioni effettuate tramite terze parti (OnlineTravelAgency (Expedia Group., Booking.com, ecc.), Grossisti, ecc.), con pernottamento dal 1 settembre 2020 al 31 marzo 2021, è necessario che contattiate il Servizio clienti dell’Agenzia tramite la quale avete prenotato per gestire la vostra prenotazione.

Da parte nostra, abbiamo già  informato tutti i nostri partner commerciali della nostra scelta di mantenere chiuso l' albergo e cancellare la prenotazione della camera senza penali.

Ci scusiamo per gli eventuali disagi che la nostra scelta potrebbe avervi causato.

Dear client,

this is to officially update and inform you that the unprecedented uneven circumstances related to the COVID-19 and the necessary restrictions to apply to the Hotel services and paths to ensure social distancing among guests and employees within the Hotel premises and  the lack of guests, have forced us to close the Hotel until August 31st 2020.

All reservations with overnight within June 3rd and August 31st 2020 shall be cancelled and the cancellation managed by the Hotel or the Travel Agent thru which the guest made the hotel reservation.

On the other hand, we would like to also inform that we are working on evaluating the opportunities to re-open our doors to guests bearing in mind two main target: health & safety  and, last but not least, the real possibility to ensure our guest a “satisfactory” experience of most of services and attractions of the wonderful and unique city of Venezia.

All reservations from Sep. 1st 2020 on shall be considered confirmed.

Gentile cliente,

La presente comunicazione per informarVi ufficialmente che le eccezionali circostanze senza precedenti relative al COVID-19 e le restrizioni necessarie da applicare ai servizi e ai percorsi dell' hotel per garantire il distanziamento sociale tra ospiti e dipendenti all'interno dei locali dell'hotel nonché la mancanza di ospiti, ci costringono a chiudere l' Hotel fino al 31 agosto 2020.

Tutte le prenotazioni con soggiorni compresi tra il 3 giugno e il 31 agosto 2020  saranno annullate e la cancellazione sarà gestita dall' hotel, dall'agente di viaggio o dal sito internet attraverso il quale il cliente ha effettuato la prenotazione.

D'altra parte, vorremmo anche informare che stiamo lavorando per valutare l’opportunità di riaprire le nostre porte agli ospiti tenendo presente due obiettivi principali: la salute e la sicurezza e, non ultimo, la reale possibilità di garantire ai nostri ospiti un’esperienza “soddisfacente” della maggior parte dei servizi e delle attrazioni della nostra meravigliosa e unica città di Venezia.

Tutte le prenotazioni dal 1 ° settembre 2020 in poi sono da considerarsi confermate.

this is to officially update and inform you that the particular uneven circumstances related to the COVID-19 and the Decree/Law passed by the Italian Governament on May 17th 2020 which still denies the possibility to move between different regions in Italy by any means if not for urgent and necessary purposes, have forced us to keep the Hotel open but continue the suspenction of Hotel services from May 18th 2020 till June 3rd included

All confirmed direct (Official Web site) and Ota (Booking.com - Expedia Group) reservations due to stay during the "Restictions to mobility" period shall be dealt throug either a change of dates or a Future Stay Voucher as the Italian Law passed on March 16th officially allows.

A new update of the eventual postpone or anticipation of the re-opening of all services shall be comunicated after the next National/Local Authority statement.

this is to officially update and inform you that the particular uneven circumstances related to the COVID-19 and the Decree/Law passed by the Italian Governament on April 10th 2020 which denies the possibility to move in Italy by any means if not for urgent and necessary purposes , have forced us to continue the suspenction of Hotel services from April 15th 2020 till May 4th included.

All confirmed direct (Official Web site) and Ota (Booking.com-Expedia Group) reservations due to stay during the "Lock-down" period shall be dealt throu either a change of dates or a Future Stay Voucher as he Italian Law passed on March 16th officially allows.

A new update of the eventual postpone or anticipation of the re-opening shall be comunicated after the next National/Local Authority statement.

A new update of the eventual postpone or anticipation of the re-opening shall be comunicated after the next Local Authority statement.

Update issued on April 1st 2020

At The Colombina Hotel, the comfort, health and safety of our guests and employees is always our primary concern. Because of the outbreak of Covid-19 , the Hotel has supended the activities from March 8th and  shall now be closed  till  April 3rd.

We also want to assure you that we understand the need for flexibility in planning travel during this particular times and want our guests to feel confident when booking that they can change, cancel their booking up to very close to arrival.

We will now take away all Advanced-Deposit and Non-refundable Rates for new reservations with stay until 31 October  2020, and reduce the cancellation policy time up to 48 hours prior to arrival.  All  individual  bookings with flexible rate,  that have been already confirmed ,will take advantage of the reduced cancellation policy time. Changes of dates, however, will be subject to availability and any rate differences.  For those who have a confirmed Advance-deposit/Non-refundable rate reservation for a future stay we inform you that since March 16th 2020, the Italian Governament has passed a Degree (Law/Bill)  which allows the Italian Hotel to issue a Future Credit Voucher instead of the reimburment of the charged funds.  The Voucher must be valid for 12 months from the date of previewed arrival. The FSV can be used for a third party guest. The FSV can be ONLY redeemed through the Official Web Site of the Hotel. We have extended the validity time of the FSV up to 31/10/2021.

If your booking was made via an online travel agent or other third-party travel professional, you should contact the booking provider to make amendments at least che financial charge was made by the Hotel.

We shall update this page as soon we have relevant info to share with us , including re-opening of museums, galleries, tourist services, etc.

We continue to monitor the evolving situation of COVID-19 closely and are following the direction of the World Health Organization and relevant local health and government authorities.
